+ About Christchurch Modern
We're not architects, we're not historians and we don't know much about anything. However we do like modern houses and Christchurch is a great place for them.
If you know of a house that deserves a mention please let us know. If we've made a mistake, do the same. If you like the site, tell your friends. If you hate the site, tell your friends you like it anyway. It's a minor white lie that anyone would forgive.

368 Waimairi Rd. Architect Unkown.

On a gloomy Christchurch day, this fellow looked bright and chirpy. Who knows what lurks behind all that crazy, ultramarine paint?

2 Hilltop Ln. M J W Davis House. Warren & Mahoney.

Sep 04, 2008

Hello 1961. This has to be one of Christchurch’s nicest houses and departed from the trademark steep pitch Warren & Mahoney gables in response to the Hill site. Split levels separate living and sleeping areas using king-size double chimneys and a central staircase to great effect.
