<p>Charles Thomas was the designer of the NZIA award winning <a href="http://www.chch.catholic.org.nz/?sid=138" target="_blank">Catholic Church</a> in Sockburn.</p>

<p>The planter boxes and wrought iron are out of place, but the house is very well looked after by its original owner.</p>
