The construction was complex and overseen by famed engineer Lyall Holmes, the original one piece aluminium roof having to be shipped from Australia.

The home has been extended by its current owners and the original roof blew off dramatically in a storm a decade ago, but Pascoe’s design and intent are still clearly there. Apparently, borrowing equipment from his brother, Paul camped on the site for a couple of nights before dreaming up the design.
